Fun for the Family

Shopping with the kids in tow can be terrific if you schedule a few fun activities in between store visits. The idea is to keep short attention spans on reset, and U Village has plenty to offer for entire families.

With younger children, don’t make too long of a day of it. If you’re hoping to squeeze in a few errands before you see Santa, make sure to hit up a kid-friendly store (we’ve got lots!) or have hubby hang on to the kids while you power shop. Men who are hip to the happiness-inducing magic of fro-yo will head straight to Menchie’s, where flavored frozen yogurt and heaps of delicious toppings await. Pssst, Dads: Don’t worry, nobody will tell if you let them have Gummy Bears and Oreo crumbles. It’s Christmastime, after all.

Moms, if you’re shopping with teenage girls, you already know what you’re up against. Give your daughter a couple of hours of freedom before you two rendezvous at Swink Style Bar for some bonding. The salon offers special services for teens, too. Nothing says “Peace on Earth” (or at Goodwill to Mom) like new feather extensions!
